STEPS TO YOUR SUCCESS
STEP
ONE: CLINICAL EVALUATION
The keys to your driving independence
begins with a Clinical Evaluation
to evaluate your physical, visual,
and cognitive skills. Based on clinical
findings, it is determined whether
or not adaptive driving equipment
is needed.
STEP
TWO: BEHIND-THE-WHEEL EVALUATION
The next step is a Behind-the-Wheel
Evaluation. Various types of adaptive
equipment may be used in the training
vehicle such as hand controls to operate
the gas and brake, a left foot accelerator
and steering devices. Optimal Mobility
Solutions provides the training needed
to use the adaptive driving equipment.
This allows you to try the equipment
in a safe environment to make sure
it works for you, before you purchase
it!
STEP
THREE: FINAL BEHIND-THE-WHEEL TRAINING
The final step in your driver rehabilitation
takes place after the adaptive equipment
has been installed in your personal
vehicle. Optimal Mobility Solutions
meets you at the adaptive equipment
vendor to complete your final behind-the-wheel
training session to insure your equipment
was installed properly and you are
happy with the results.
